About Dunkin Donuts

Introduction

“America runs on Dunkin!” Not only is it a catchy phrase, but it is also a known fact that Dunkin' Donuts is the largest coffee and baked goods chain in the world. Serving more than 3 million customers per day and selling more than 1 billion cups of coffee per year, Dunkin' Donuts is America's favorite every-day, all-day stop for coffee and baked goods including their delicious donuts, muffins, bagels and Munchkins. The franchise is also known for their diverse line of beverages including hot coffee in up to nine flavors, iced coffees, and refreshing Coolattas. It was founded in 1950 in Quincy, Massachusetts, by a man named William Rosenberg and it is now based in Canton, Massachusetts as a subsidiary of Dunkin' Brands, Inc. The company has over 7,900 restaurants in 31 countries worldwide, with roughly 6,400 of them right here in North America and the rest located in areas of Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
Most of Dunkin’ Donuts’ business competition comes from small locally owned stores, Krispy Kreme donuts and Starbucks. Dunkin' Donuts has earned the #1 ranking for customer loyalty in the coffee category by Brand Keys for two years running.
